1. First Steps with Jesus – begins July 22 in Room 103

First Steps is a class for people who are beginning or renewing a commitment to Christ and is a safe place to learn some basics including:

  • How do I pray?
  • Where do I start reading the Bible?
  • What is the Holy Spirit?
  • What is the Gospel?
  • What happens if I want to follow God, but I blow it?

2. Fresh Start – begins April 29 in Room 103

Fresh Start is designed to provide basic Bible training and life-skills for those who are beginning or renewing a life with Jesus Christ. This five-week class is a safe place to ask questions as you study what the Bible teaches about forgiveness, worship, temptation, daily Bible reading, prayer and other basic topics.

3. Following Jesus Christ in Baptism – next class meets June 3 in Room 102 with outdoor baptism on June 10

A coaching session is offered two weeks prior to a baptism service. In this single session we discuss the meaning of baptism and the process we use as a local church. This session provides all the information needed to prepare for baptism.

4. Exploring Church Membership – April 22 & 29 in Room 102

Those who are considering becoming church members are invited to attend Exploring Church Membership classes. The vision and purpose of church membership is explained in a lively format by our ministry staff.

5. Friendship Evangelism – meeting through April 1 in Room 104

This class is designed to answer questions and get a person on the right track to what a Christian is and how it impacts your life. It will help you think through how to comfortably relate to the people around you and open doors to share your faith in a nonthreateing way. Every believer is encouraged to take this class.

6. Financial Peace University

This 13-session class is offered once each year. Watch the bulletin for dates of 2014 Financial Peace University.
