Scott Moore - Middle School Pastor
Meet Buffalo!,, also known as Scott Moore, our Middle School Pastor. He grew up in York, Nebraska, where his parents taught him about Jesus and helped him to follow Christ at a young age. He then went to college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he played in the Cornhusker Marching Band. During this time he also served God at Timberlake Ranch Camps for 9 summers, where his jobs ranged from Cabin Leader to Assistant Program Director to JCL Director.
After college, he worked for a year at Irving Middle School in Lincoln, at which point he decided he wanted to work with Middle School students in a ministry setting. In order to prepare for pastoral ministry, he finished a Master’s Degree at Denver Seminary. During that time he got married to his wife Hannah (Jan 18, 2004), and they had their first child, Shalom (July 7, 2005). Shalom faced many health problems and was in the hospital for 6 ½ months, but the healing hand of Jesus brought her through safely. Her name is a Hebrew word that means “peace.”
After completing Seminary, the Moores moved to Las Vegas, NV, to work in Middle School ministry. After a year in the desert, God called Buffalo! and his family back to Nebraska to work at Grand Island E-Free. In 2008 their second child, Calvin, was born on June 2. The Moores have recently also started to look into foster parenting for children who have medical difficulties. They feel uniquely gifted to help kids like her, because they are confident in learning how to deal with these problems.
